Legislator inspects drainage construction in West Jakarta

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Hardiyanto Kenneth, a member of the Jakarta DPRD from the PDI Perjuangan faction, personally inspected the progress of drainage construction in the RT 02/RW 06 area, Jelambar Baru, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, which aims to prevent water logging in the local community.

“The construction of this drainage system is one of the efforts to smooth the flow of water while simultaneously helping to reduce the potential for flooding in the residents’ environment,” said Hardiyanto Kenneth while overseeing community aspirations during his second recess period of the 2025-2026 session in Jakarta, Wednesday.

He stated that the recess is not only a momentum to absorb community aspirations but also to ensure that the concerns raised by residents are monitored until they are realised through tangible and beneficial development.

He reminded the contractors that the construction process must be carried out carefully, especially during demolition, and requested that workers pay close attention to the foundations and structures of residents’ houses to prevent any damage.

Furthermore, the clean water supply used by residents must be ensured to remain safe and undisturbed throughout the construction process.
