Padang (ANTARA) - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from West Sumatra, Andre Rosiade, gave additional pocket money to Hajj pilgrims in the final flight group from Padang Embarkation of 100 riyals or equivalent to Rp462,700 per person. “Aid from the government is 750 riyals. Then, from me, there is an additional 100 riyals for each Hajj pilgrim in the final cluster,” said Andre Rosiade in Padang on Saturday. In general, he thanked and appreciated the hard work of all related parties, including the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) of West Sumatra, the West Sumatra Provincial Government, and the Airport Authority for providing support and maximum service to Hajj pilgrims. “I can feel and see the satisfaction of the Hajj pilgrims, from leaving the dormitory, the journey to the airport, and the airport’s service until boarding the plane,” he said. According to him, this shows evidence that every party continues to improve and provide better services for Hajj pilgrims. The government, through the relevant ministries, is committed to enhancing Hajj worship service facilities from time to time. “We hope that the Hajj Village for Indonesian pilgrims in the Holy Land can be functioned and used optimally in the next few years,” he hoped. Kemenhaj of West Sumatra has completed the departure of all Hajj pilgrims from Padang Embarkation to the Holy Land for the 1447 Hijriah Hajj season. The completion was marked by the departure of 287 pilgrims along with the last wave’s staff, namely cluster 14, which was flown from Minangkabau International Airport on Saturday morning.
