Legal Team Demands Verification of Video Alleging JK's Involvement in Jokowi Diploma Issue, Claimed to Be AI-Generated
The legal representative of Jusuf Kalla (JK), Abdul Haji Talaohu, has emphasised that the video containing allegations against his client must undergo legal scrutiny. This statement responds to claims by Rismon Sianipar that the video, serving as evidence, is a product of Artificial Intelligence (AI) processing.
“Yes, this means we need to test it first. This is a matter of credibility. Even if it turns out to be AI, we still need to verify whether it is AI or not,” Abdul Haji Talaohu stated at National Police Headquarters in South Jakarta on Monday (6/4).
JK’s side assures that they will not treat this polemic lightly. The report submitted to Bareskrim Polri today will be pursued seriously to safeguard the integrity and good name of the 10th and 12th Vice President of Indonesia.
In this report, JK’s legal team will argue several serious articles, including Article 263 and Article 264 of the new Criminal Code (Law No. 1 of 2023), which regulate document forgery and the dissemination of false news.
JK Denies Rp5 Billion Fund Transfer to Roy Suryo
The case stems from the circulation of a video alleging that Jusuf Kalla handed over Rp5 billion to Roy Suryo to question the authenticity of President Joko Widodo’s diploma. JK has firmly denied these allegations.
He stressed that he has never been involved in the Jokowi diploma issue, let alone funding certain parties for political attacks. Additionally, JK stated that he has never met Rismon Sianipar directly and dismissed accusations of exploiting others for certain agendas.
