Minangkabau Family Association reports Abu Janda over West Sumatra ‘barbar’ remark

The Central Leadership Council of the Minangkabau Family Association (IKM) has filed a report against social media activist Permadi Arya, commonly known as Abu Janda, over alleged remarks labelling West Sumatra as ‘barbar’.

“Yes, we have filed the report,” said IKM Secretary-General Braditi Moulevey when contacted in Padang on Wednesday.

Braditi added the report followed concerns from IKM officials and Minangkabau communities both locally and abroad over Abu Janda’s alleged hate speech.

Police chief urges traffic directors to build closer ties with ride-hailing drivers

Police Corps of Traffic (Kakorlantas) Chief Irjen Pol Agus Suryonugroho has instructed regional traffic directorates to actively engage with ride-hailing drivers and other community groups.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo explained that FAR allegedly pressured outsourced workers from her family’s company, PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya, employed by the Pekalongan Regency government in Central Java.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has facilitated Eid al-Adha prayers for 52 Muslim detainees at the Al-Ikhlas Mosque in the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta.

“Marking Eid al-Adha 1447 H, KPK has arranged prayers for Muslim detainees at the Al-Ikhlas Mosque in the KPK’s Merah Putih Building, Jakarta,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told journalists in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He added the move was to uphold detainees’ basic rights, including the freedom to practice their religion.
