Legal aid posts for women

JAKARTA: Lawyers grouped in the Legal Team for Women's Political Rights say they have opened legal advocacy posts for women. The posts have been set up to ensure "democratization which is just, peaceful and free of violence", said a letter signed by the lawyers, including Asnifriyanti Damanik.

Complaints can be related to physical, verbal and sexual assault of women, isolation and other psychological pressure, bribes and pressure by family members including spouses to choose a particular party and pressuring a woman against using her political rights.
