Lee keeps lead, Sorenstam struggles
JEJU, South Korea: South Korea's Lee Jee-young remained three strokes clear in the LPGAs CJ Nine Bridges Classic despite two double bogeys late on Saturday in the second round.
Lee carded a 1-over 73 and led the tournament at 6-under 138, three clear of compatriots Kim Mi-hyun and Jeong Jang.
Annika Sorenstam struggled with her putts as strong winds buffeted the island course. She was 6-over after consecutive rounds of 75.
Bogeys at the third, fourth and 14th holes left the top-ranked Sorenstam 12 stokes off the pace with one round remaining in the 54-hole tournament. -- AP

Best reported on the mend
LONDON: Former soccer star George Best continued to improve on Saturday from a series of life-threatening infections, but remained in intensive care.
Best remained on a ventilator as doctors continue to treat internal bleeding and various infections, his doctor said.
The 59-year-old former Manchester United star, who had a lifesaving liver transplant three years ago but went back to hard drinking, has been in a hospital's intensive care unit for a month.
"On the whole there has been a very definite improvement in his condition but he is still requiring a lot of care," said Dr. Roger Williams, who is in charge of Best's care at Cromwell Hospital in west London. "He is better than yesterday (Friday)." -- AP
