The judicial review hearing on the suspect designation of Lee Kah Hin, Director of Wana Kencana Mineral, in a case of false testimony at Jakarta South District Court is drawing to a close. The petitioner, Lee Kah Hin, and the respondent Metro Jaya Police, both represented by their legal counsel, presented their concluding arguments to Judge Zaenal Arifin on Friday, 13 March.

Following the brief hearing, the petitioner’s lawyer, Rolas Sitinjak, requested that the judge deliver justice for his client. “We hope that justice still exists in this Republic. We are optimistic,” said Rolas.

According to Rolas, if any witness presented by the prosecutor could become a suspect based on reports from anyone, then “there would be no one willing to testify.” Rolas’s client, Kah Hin, is the director of a nickel company with mining rights in North Maluku. In October 2025, Kah Hin served as a witness for the Public Prosecutor against defendants Awwab Hafiz and Marsel Bialembang, both employees of PT WKM reported by PT Position.

The judicial review hearing on Friday afternoon was brief. After receiving the concluding statements from both the petitioner and respondent in the judicial review, Judge Zaenal Arifin stated that the ruling would be delivered the following Tuesday.

Throughout the hearings from Monday, 9 March to Friday, 13 March, Lee Kah Hin was represented by lawyers Maqdir Ismail, Rolas Sitinjak, and Haris Azhar. Meanwhile, Metro Jaya Police was represented by their legal department through AKP Indon and Briptu Garindra.

Kah Hin became a suspect for false testimony when testifying at Jakarta Central District Court in October. Together with Eko Wiriatmoko, the Chief Executive of WKM, Kah Hin was presented by the prosecutor to testify before the judge, prosecutor and defendants Awwab and Marsel.

Awwab and Marsel are deemed responsible for installing stakes on the Mining Business Permit land or IUP of PT WKM. According to PT Position, these stakes interfere with its work as a nickel supplier at the Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park or IWIP in East Halmahera, North Maluku.
