Lecturer Certification 2026: Candidate Requirements and Provisions
Lecturer Certification (Serdos) is a form of professional recognition for lecturers in carrying out the tridharma of higher education. The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) has announced the provisions for Serdos 2026. According to a post on the @kemdiktisaintek.ri Instagram account, there are specific requirements for participating in Serdos 2026. The requirements for prospective participants are: permanent lecturer status and possession of a NUPTK; a minimum academic rank of Assistant Expert; at least two years of service as an educator; possession of a PEKERTI and/or AA Certificate; fulfilment of BKD/LKD requirements for four consecutive semesters at the same higher education institution; academic or artistic/cultural works in accordance with the provisions; and not currently on study leave involving relinquishment of official duties.
The ranking order stage for Serdos candidates is conducted considering: the most recent academic rank, the highest educational qualification, lecturers with disabilities (evidenced by a medical certificate from a medical supervisor), and length of service. The overall length of service as a lecturer is calculated from the date of first appointment in a lecturer academic position.
The main documents that must be prepared for the Serdos 2026 portfolio include: curriculum vitae, latest diploma, decree on functional lecturer position, BKD/LKD reports for four consecutive semesters, PEKERTI/AA certificate, perception assessment data, and the Lecturer Personal Statement on Tridharma Higher Education Performance (PDD-UKTPT).
The Serdos workflow is: retrieval of eligible data and opening of the Serdos period; preparation of PDD-UKPTP and perception assessment; calculation of perception assessment by the proposing university’s Serdos committee; submission of Serdos participants by the proposing university’s Serdos committee; portfolio assessment by PTPS assessors; national plenary session by PTPS and the ministry; and issuance of the e-certificate.
Participants are declared to have passed if they meet all Serdos assessment provisions. The criteria are: Empirical Assessment of academic quality and functional position, weighted at 35%; Perception Assessment from superiors, colleagues, students, and self-assessment, weighted at 10%; and PDD-UKTPT assessment by the assessor, weighted at 55%. As the largest portion is allocated to the PDD-UKTPT, the quality of the learning video, Tridharma narrative, and supporting evidence must be well prepared.
