PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded 1.7 million, or precisely 1,702,500 vehicles, returning to the Jabotabek area during the period from Wednesday (11 March 2026) to Monday (23 March 2026), or H-10 to H+1 of the Eid al-Fitr holiday. This figure is the cumulative traffic flow from four main toll gates: Cikupa GT (from the Merak direction), Ciawi GT (from the Puncak direction), Cikampek Main GT (from the Trans Java direction), and Kalihurip Main GT (from the Bandung direction). Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A. Purwantono stated that the number of vehicles returning to Jabotabek reached 50.16% of the total projection of 3.39 million vehicles for the period 11-31 March 2026. “The traffic volume returning to the Jabotabek area for the period 11-23 March 2026 reached 1,702,500 vehicles,” said Rivan in his statement on Wednesday (25 March 2026). Meanwhile, from the west (Merak), 568,159 vehicles were recorded, or 33.4%, and from the south (Puncak), 437,593 vehicles, or 25.7%. In detail, for the east direction, vehicles from Trans Java passing through Cikampek Main GT on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road totalled 309,156 vehicles, down 15.2% compared to normal traffic. Vehicles from the Bandung direction passing through Kalihurip Main GT on the Cipularang Toll Road totalled 387,592 vehicles, 7.1% lower than normal traffic. “So the total traffic returning to Jabotabek from Trans Java and Bandung directions through those two GTs is 696,748 vehicles, 10.9% lower than normal traffic,” explained Rivan. For the west direction, vehicles from Merak passing through Cikupa GT on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road totalled 568,159 vehicles, down 4.9% from normal traffic. Rivan said that on H+2 Lebaran, or Monday (23 March 2026), the return flow began to experience a significant increase. A total of 225,293 vehicles returned to Jabotabek, up 73.7% compared to normal traffic of 129,695 vehicles. In line with this upward trend, Jasa Marga is optimising services on several toll road sections, from toll gate operations, readiness of toll road service fleets, to situational traffic management according to police discretion. Jasa Marga also urges road users to prepare thoroughly for the return journey. “We urge road users to ensure vehicles and drivers are in prime condition before travelling, to obey traffic rules and directions from officers on the ground,” he said.
