Astra Infra Toll Road Tangerang-Merak recorded a total of 1,324,710 vehicles passing through the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road section throughout the Idulfitri 1447 Hijriah/2026 homecoming period.

Head of Corporate Communications & Sustainability Management at Astra Infra Toll Road Tangerang-Merak, Uswatun Hasanah, stated that this figure is the accumulation of vehicles from 11 to 18 March 2026.

“The total traffic flow passing through the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road accumulatively amounted to 1,324,710 vehicles,” said Uswatun on Thursday (19/3).

Uswatun noted that the average daily traffic during this period reached 159,712 vehicles.

This figure experienced an increase of about 7% compared to the same period during last year’s Lebaran homecoming, although it remains 2.3% below the normal average daily traffic (LHR).

Uswatun explained in detail that the vehicles entering through Cikupa Toll Gate during this period were recorded at 350,148 units, with an average of 42,369 vehicles per day.

“With a daily traffic of 42,369 vehicles, this is down 17.2% compared to the same period in 2025, or 15.9% lower than the normal average daily traffic,” she explained.

Meanwhile, the volume of vehicles exiting through Merak Toll Gate reached 101,441 units in the same period.

Based on daily data on 18 March 2026, the number of vehicles heading to Merak Port was recorded at 14,809 units.

“This figure is down 24.2% compared to the same period in 2025. However, it increased 62.4% compared to the normal average daily traffic,” stated Uswatun.

To anticipate obstacles amid the high mobility during the homecoming flow, Uswatun advised road users to ensure their vehicles are in prime condition. Check fuel, tyre conditions, and sufficient electronic money balance again.

“Drivers are also reminded to maintain their physical condition and rest at the nearest rest area if feeling tired, such as at KM 43 and KM 68 towards Merak and KM 45 and KM 68 towards Jakarta,” she urged.
