Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency is implementing traffic circulation routes around the Lapangan Banteng area in Central Jakarta from Friday, 10 April to Sunday, 12 April, in connection with the Lebaran Betawi 2026 event.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, when contacted in Jakarta on Friday, detailed that traffic from the West (Juanda) heading East (Gunung Sahari) can proceed via Jalan Ir. H. Juanda-Jalan Pos-Jalan Dr. Sutomo-Jalan Gunung Sahari, or alternatively via Jalan Ir. H. Juanda-Jalan Pos, then turn right onto Jalan Gedung Kesenian, followed by a left turn onto Jalan Budi Utomo-Jalan Gunung Sahari.

Meanwhile, traffic from the East (Gunung Sahari) heading West (Juanda) can proceed via Jalan Gunung Sahari-Jalan Dr. Sutomo, then turn left onto Jalan Gedung Kesenian, right onto Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara, right onto Jalan Katedral, and left onto Jalan Veteran.

Furthermore, traffic from the East (Gunung Sahari) heading West (Gambir) can proceed via Jalan Gunung Sahari-Jalan Budi Utomo-Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara, then turn right onto Jalan Lapangan Banteng Barat-Jalan Taman Pejambon.

Next, traffic from the West (Gambir) heading East (Gunung Sahari) can proceed via Jalan Perwira, then turn left onto Jalan Katedral, right onto Jalan Pos-Jalan Dr. Sutomo-Jalan Gunung Sahari.

The Lebaran Betawi 2026, themed “Lebaran Betawi for Jakarta: Strengthening Unity in Preserving Traditions Towards a Global Jakarta City,” is being held at Lapangan Banteng in Central Jakarta over three days, starting Friday, 10 April, from 19:30 to 21:30 WIB, then Saturday, 11 April, from 07:00 to 23:00 WIB, until Sunday, 12 April, from 06:00 to 22:00 WIB.

A number of activities on offer include religious recitations, maulid, tahlilan, sermons, joint prayers, cultural attractions (ondel-ondel, tanjidor, silat, gambang kromong, lenong Betawi), screen entertainment, group exercises, traditional Betawi games, folk tales, cultural carnivals, procession of offerings, Betawi culinary presentations, and music performances.

The event is expected to attract around 20,000 visitors from various groups, including the general public, students, cultural communities, and domestic and international tourists.
