Lebaran 2026 Return Flow: Pelni Records 225,000 Passengers

Jakarta, VIVA – Pelni has recorded a realisation of 67.5 per cent for the Lebaran 2026 return flow up to 26 March, with a total of 225,898 passengers.

“We are optimistic that the number of return flow passengers will increase as the Pelni Lebaran transport period continues until 6 April 2026,” said Pelni Company Secretary Ditto Pappilanda in Jakarta on Thursday (26/3/2026).

Ditto explained that the peak outbound flow occurred on H-3 Lebaran or 18 March 2026, with 31,460 passengers.

Meanwhile, the peak return flow is estimated to occur on Thursday, 2 April 2026, with a projected 27,009 passengers.

Overall, the implementation of Lebaran 2026 transport has proceeded smoothly and under control. Pelni has served 316,975 passengers during this year’s Lebaran period.

“The realisation shows a 1 per cent increase compared to the previous year,” said Ditto.

To support the smooth outbound and return flows, Pelni has prepared various anticipatory measures, from increased coordination with stakeholders to additional service and security personnel.

In addition, the company has ensured that all vessels are in seaworthy condition to guarantee passenger safety during the journey.

“We conduct ship and port monitoring, and enhance cross-stakeholder coordination to ensure smooth operations and focus on safety,” said Ditto.

Pelni also urges the public who have not yet obtained tickets to book immediately through official channels to avoid ticket shortages or risks of purchasing from unofficial parties.

On the other hand, passengers are reminded to always comply with safety procedures while on board and maintain cleanliness during the journey.
