PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk has recorded 1,702,500 vehicles returning to the Jabotabek region during the period from H-10 to H+2 of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H (11-23 March 2026). This figure represents the cumulative traffic flow from four main toll gates: Cikampek Utama, Kalihurip Utama, Cikupa, and Ciawi. Jasa Marga President Director, Rivan A Purwantono, explained that this number accounts for only 50.16% of the total projected 3.39 million vehicles expected to return to Jabotabek by 31 March. Based on distribution data, the majority of vehicles come from the east (Trans Java and Bandung), followed by the west (Merak) and south (Puncak). Although the cumulative period from H-10 to H+2 remains below normal levels, a significant surge began on Monday, 23 March 2026 (H+2). A total of 225,293 vehicles returned to Jabotabek, an increase of 73.7% over normal traffic. The highest surge occurred at GT Cikampek Utama, reaching 197.7% above normal volume. Rivan predicts that the trend of increasing vehicle volumes will continue. “Vehicle traffic flow is expected to keep rising, especially during the peak return flow periods on 24, 28, and 29 March 2026,” he stated. To anticipate congestion, Jasa Marga has prepared several mitigation measures, including advising the public with flexible schedules to utilise the Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy on 25-27 March 2026 for their return journeys to avoid peak density. “We urge road users to prepare their trips thoroughly during this return flow period, including ensuring vehicles and drivers are in prime condition before travelling and complying with traffic rules and instructions from on-site officers. For traffic information and trip planning assistance, the public can use the Travoy app and contact Jasa Marga’s Call Centre at 133,” Rivan explained. He hopes that through careful planning and collaboration among stakeholders, this year’s return flow can proceed safely, comfortably, and smoothly. Based on data from PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) until 23:46 WIB, 85,453 vehicles have passed through GT Cikatama towards Jakarta. Jasa Marga has temporarily closed Rest Area KM 52B to anticipate vehicle congestion.
