Lebaran 2026 Homecoming Traffic on Trans Sumatra Toll Road Surges to 109.65%
Traffic development on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) continues to rise as the Lebaran homecoming flow progresses in 2026. Vehicle traffic has been observed to increase on several main sections, particularly corridors connecting cities and access to urban areas.
“This condition shows the growing mobility of the public as the Lebaran homecoming flow continues in various regions,” said Acting EVP Corporate Secretary of PT Hutama Karya (Persero), Hamdani, on Thursday (19/3).
He explained that cumulatively, the total daily traffic on the operating toll sections reached 188,975 vehicles, an increase of 109.65% compared to normal traffic. This rise reflects the increasingly high movement of the public undertaking homecoming trips ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
“Monitoring is carried out continuously as part of Hutama Karya’s commitment to ensuring toll road services remain safe, smooth, and comfortable for all road users,” he stated.

Hutama Karya urges all road users to plan their journeys well, especially for those starting homecoming trips early. Road users are expected to obey traffic signs and speed limits, maintain safe distances, ensure vehicle and driver conditions are optimal, and rest at the nearest rest area if feeling tired or drowsy,” he explained.
He revealed that Hutama Karya is committed to maintaining the smoothness and safety of traffic on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road through the readiness of personnel, supporting facilities, and coordination with relevant parties as a manifestation of #ServingWholeheartedly.
“The public can also monitor the latest information on traffic conditions and toll road services through the official account @hutamakaryatollroad and the HK Toll Apps application, which provides operational information and real-time traffic updates,” he concluded.
