Lebaran 2026 Command Posts on Alert at Prambanan-Purwomartani Toll Road
PT Jasamarga Jogja Solo began opening the functional lane of the Solo-Yogyakarta-YIA Kulon Progo Toll Road, Prambanan-Purwomartani section, spanning 12.23 kilometres, starting from 16 March 2026 to support the smooth flow of Eid al-Fitr homecoming traffic. The toll route is equipped with Lebaran Monitoring Posts stationed at the Prambanan and Purwomartani Toll Gates.
Jasa Marga’s President Director, Rivan A. Purwantono, stated that this route is expected to serve as an alternative for those travelling from Yogyakarta to Klaten, Solo, Semarang, and even Jakarta. The functional lane of the Solo-Yogyakarta-YIA Kulon Progo Toll Road, Prambanan-Purwomartani section, will remain open until 29 March 2026.
“With the presence of this functional route, traffic distribution is expected to be more even, making public travel smoother,” said Rivan to reporters on 18 March 2026.
On the first day of operation, 3,565 vehicles were recorded passing through the route. The opening of this functional lane is intended to ease traffic density on national roads, particularly at congestion-prone points between Yogyakarta and Central Java regions.
The functional route operates one-way from 06:00 to 18:00 WIB. Road users from Yogyakarta can proceed directly through the Purwomartani Toll Gate to various cities in Central Java.
President Director of PT Jasamarga Jogja Solo, Rudy Hardiansyah, added that his company has prepared various facilities to support the comfort and safety of road users during the homecoming period. “We are committed to ensuring the operation of this route runs safely and comfortably for the public,” said Rudy.
To support operations, PT Jasamarga Jogja Solo is collaborating with the police, the Ministry of Transportation, and the Ministry of Public Works. Road users are urged to comply with traffic rules, including the maximum speed limit of 40 kilometres per hour on the functional route. “Drivers are asked to ensure their vehicles are in prime condition and have sufficient electronic money balance before entering the toll,” said Rudy.
