Lebanon Lodges Complaint Against Iran with UN, Accused of Dragging It into Destructive Conflict with Israel

Beirut (ANTARA) - Lebanon has submitted an official complaint against Iran to the United Nations, accusing it of interfering in Lebanon’s internal affairs and dragging the country into a highly destructive war with Israel.

According to a report by Lebanese television station MTV Lebanon, the complaint was filed by Lebanon’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ahmad Arafa, who stated that Lebanon has the right to hold Iran accountable.

In the document, Lebanon demands international accountability from Iran for its “repeated violations” of international obligations and its involvement in dragging Lebanon into a destructive war.

MTV reported that the complaint was delivered to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the President of the UN Security Council on 21 April.

The document was subsequently registered as an official document of the UN Security Council and General Assembly under the number S/2026/343.
