Lebanon Condemns Houthi Retaliatory Attack on Saudi Airport

Lebanese authorities have condemned a retaliatory attack by the Houthi group against Saudi Arabia and expressed full solidarity with the kingdom, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said on Tuesday. “We strongly condemn the attack on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is a flagrant violation of their sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity,” he stated. Salam affirmed his support for Riyadh’s right to take necessary measures to protect its territory, citizens, and interests as part of its legitimate right to self-defence. According to him, the continuation of the attacks demonstrates an intention to undermine efforts aimed at ensuring security and stability in the Gulf region. The Ansar Allah movement in Yemen, also known as the Houthis, attacked the international airport in the city of Abha in Saudi Arabia on Monday in retaliation for a strike on Sanaa airport.
