Leapmotor Targets EV Enthusiasts in Central Java, Showcasing Two Electric SUVs at GIIAS Semarang 2026

Leapmotor is presenting two electric SUVs, the B10 and C10, at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) Semarang 2026, held at the Muladi Dome UNDIP, Semarang, from 30 September to 4 October 2026.

This appearance is part of Leapmotor’s expansion in Indonesia, particularly in Central Java, following the Chinese electric vehicle brand’s debut at GIIAS Jakarta in July 2026. Leapmotor entered the Indonesian market through PT Indomobil National Distributor.

CEO of PT Indomobil National Distributor, Tan Kim Piauw, stated that Central Java is one of the regions targeted by the company in the development of the electric vehicle market in Indonesia.

“Leapmotor’s presence at GIIAS Semarang is part of our steps to expand the brand’s reach in Indonesia while introducing intelligent electric vehicles to the people of Central Java,” said Tan.

Leapmotor was founded in 2015 in Hangzhou, China, and is engaged in the development and production of electric vehicles. According to company data, as of August 2026, Leapmotor has delivered more than 1.6 million vehicles globally.

In August 2026, Leapmotor’s global deliveries reached 103,129 units. This figure marks the second consecutive month the company has recorded deliveries exceeding 100,000 units.

The company noted that more than 65 per cent of its vehicle’s key components are developed and produced internally. These components include the electric vehicle architecture, electrical systems, Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) battery systems, electric drive systems, smart cockpits, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
