Although still at the introductory stage, the Leapmotor B10 is already ready for the Indonesian automotive market. Indomobil is just waiting for the ‘gong’ at GIIAS (GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show) 2026 to officially release the latest product from Stellantis Brand House. Chief Executive Officer of PT Indomobil National Distributor, Tan Kim Piauw, confirmed that the Leapmotor B10 is already being produced at Indomobil’s factory in Cikampek. “Currently we have met the TKDN (Domestic Component Level) required by the government, which is a minimum of 40%. So we have achieved the target required by the government,” said Tan. As for the price per unit, Indomobil has not yet determined it. “The official price will be introduced at GIIAS, as there are still some calculations to be made. One of them is the impact of the recent dollar exchange rate. But we have a target introductory price at GIIAS of below Rp500 million for this B10,” Tan explained. Besides the B10, Tan opened up the possibility of also bringing the C10 to Indonesia. “So, what was introduced earlier, there are quite a lot of products that they have globally introduced, one of which is the C10. The C10 is one of the products we are very seriously preparing together with our principal. We hope that this C10 can also be brought in soon,” Tan added. The B10 is planned to be introduced in the third or fourth quarter of 2026 to early 2027. “So we are making some final preparations, hopefully it can be brought in soon, and if possible, as I hope, perhaps together with the B10. But what is certain at GIIAS is that the B10 is fixed, with the sample product that media colleagues drove earlier. That means we are ready because it is already in production and has met the local content target,” Tan stressed. The plan is for the Leapmotor B10 to be displayed in one booth together with other Stellantis Brand House products. “We plan to continue bringing the Stellantis Brand House concept. As media colleagues know, there are three brands that have been introduced today. First is Citroen, then Jeep, and the latest is Leapmotor. So we will bring these three brands under one roof, the Stellantis Brand House,” said Tan. Currently, the B10 is assembled at the Cikampek plant. The B10 is imported from China in component form. Indomobil stated that for the initial stage, the Leapmotor B10 is ready with a JPH (Jobs Per Hour) of 5 units. “So JPH means the production capacity per hour is 5 units. But the factory owned by Leapmotor can actually exceed that. The ideal capacity could actually reach 15 units per hour. But in the initial stage, we are preparing for 5 units. So how many per year? If 5 units per hour, 8 hours a day means 40 units a day. Then 40 times 20 days a month, that’s 800 units a month. For a year, 800 times 12, so 9,600 units. That is still using one shift,” Tan concluded. In terms of technology, the Leapmotor B10 is equipped with a responsive and easy-to-use smart cockpit. The vehicle uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, a 14.6-inch HD touchscreen with Leap OS 4.0, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, over-the-air updates, and an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel that provides clear driving information to the driver. As an SUV, the B10 also offers a spacious and functional cabin with a length of 4,515 mm, a wheelbase of 2,735 mm, a 1.8 m² panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, up to 12 speakers, 22 storage spaces, and a 430-litre boot that can be expanded to 1,700 litres. This combination makes the B10 relevant for family needs, urban professionals, and weekend trips. “In terms of range and charging confidence, the Leapmotor B10 is designed to address consumer concerns about using electric vehicles for daily and medium-distance travel. With an NEDC range of up to 516 km and the fastest charging capability in its class from 30% to 80% in 17 minutes, the B10 provides flexibility for users to carry out daily activities, weekend trips, and inter-city routes such as Jakarta–Bandung,” explained Brand Head of Leapmotor Indonesia, Samuel Christian Wowor.
