Leapmotor achieves maiden annual profit in 2025
Jakarta — Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor has recorded its first annual profit, according to the company’s financial report for 2025.
Leapmotor announced interim financial results in August 2025 showing a net profit for the first half of the year of 30 million yuan (USD 4.17 million), equivalent to approximately Rp70.7 billion.
This performance was primarily driven by increased vehicle deliveries and spare parts sales. During the same period, the Stellantis-backed company also launched three new models: the Leapmotor B10 crossover, the B01 sedan, and the Lafa 5 (B05) hatchback.
In its financial report, Leapmotor stated that company revenue surged 101.3 per cent to 64.72 billion yuan (USD 9.38 billion), equivalent to approximately Rp159 trillion in 2025. The company also reported liquid assets reaching 37.88 billion yuan (USD 5.49 billion), or approximately Rp93 trillion.
Annual net profit reached 540 million yuan (USD 76.85 million), equivalent to approximately Rp1.3 trillion, reversing from a net loss of 2.82 billion yuan (Rp6.8 trillion) in 2024.
The Hangzhou-based company was founded in 2015 and has become one of the fastest-growing players in China’s electric vehicle industry. In line with this growth, PT Indomobil National Distributor has announced plans to bring Leapmotor to the Indonesian market. The company, which also serves as Brand Agent (APM) for brands under the Stellantis group such as Citroën and Jeep, is targeting multiple electric vehicle segments with potential for local assembly.
