Jakarta (ANTARA) - Digital Chat Station (DCS) informant has leaked additional information about the Huawei Mate 90’s specifications, covering the display panels, cameras, and chips of the phone expected to be released in September 2026.

Gizmochina on Tuesday cited leaked information from a source internal to DCS stating that the high-end models, the Huawei Mate 90 Pro and Mate 90 Pro Max, will use dual-layer OLED panels with a peak brightness of 10,000 nits.

The highest-tier device, the Huawei Mate 90 RS Ultimate, is reportedly set to use a display panel with even higher peak brightness than the other models in the series.

Dual-layer OLED technology uses stacked emissive layers, allowing the screen to achieve higher brightness without consuming as much power as a single-layer panel at the same brightness level. This technology can also help extend the panel’s lifespan.

In everyday use, higher peak brightness offers better visibility when the phone is used outdoors under direct sunlight.

If the information about the display brightness of Huawei’s latest devices is accurate, the Mate 90 series could become the brightest and best screen among flagship smartphones.

The camera configuration of the Huawei Mate 90 series is reported to consist of three sensors, including a telephoto sensor, on each model.

The high-end models are reportedly fitted with a 200 MP telephoto camera.

Mid-tier models are expected to be equipped with the N-1 chip, while the others will use a slightly upgraded version of the same chip.

Only the largest model is expected to receive the newer N-generation chip, the Kirin 9050 Pro.

The Huawei Mate 90 is reportedly equipped with a battery with a capacity of 6,600 mAh to 6,800 mAh depending on the model.

The battery capacity offered by the device is still higher than that of Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro series, whose Pro Max model is only fitted with a 5,391 mAh battery.

Huawei has not officially confirmed the leaked information regarding the Mate 90 series’ specifications.
