Leaflets attack President Soeharto

PALU, Central Sulawesi: Anonymous pamphlets urging people to
boycott next month's election and discrediting President Soeharto
have been circulated here.

"We will take action against those found responsible for the
leaflets," Central Sulawesi internal security agency Col. Bambang
said yesterday.

Bambang said circulating such leaflets is a crime that
deserves punishment.

The pamphlets have been found in public places, such as
shopping centers and schools, Antara reported.

The authorities have also been investigating graffiti which
conveyed the same messages as the pamphlets. (pan)
