Leading Women Awards 2026: Ribka Haluk Urges Women to Play an Active Role

Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Ribka Haluk has urged all Indonesian women to play an active role, both in the public and domestic sectors, to realise the vision of Golden Indonesia. This call was made by Ribka after receiving the award in the Public Sector category at the CNN Leading Women Awards 2026 at the Bank Mega Tower Auditorium, Jakarta, on Tuesday (5/5). “A message to women out there who are engaged in activities, whether in the public sector or domestically, keep pushing forward with enthusiasm. We will achieve Golden Indonesia together,” said Ribka during the event. After receiving the award, Ribka expressed her pride. She said she was surprised by the appreciation. According to her, she has only focused on carrying out her duties and responsibilities in government without thinking about awards. “I feel proud and honoured, and I think this is a form of appreciation,” said Ribka. For Ribka, this achievement is a recognition of work in the public sector that has also caught the attention of the media. She admitted she did not expect to be among the nominees, until finally being selected as the recipient of the award. The CNN Leading Women Awards 2026 itself is a form of appreciation for inspirational women from various fields. Several national figures attended the event, including House of Representatives Speaker Puan Maharani, Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, as well as CT Corp Chairman Chairul Tanjung, along with other inspirational female figures.
