Leading Prayer at Mass Subsidised Housing Contract Signing, KH Zulfa: May It Bring Prosperity
BATANG – KH Zulfa Mustofa, Deputy General Chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU), led the recitation of prayers at a mass ceremony for 62,000 subsidised housing loan (KPR) units, attended by President Prabowo Subianto in Batang, Central Java. In his prayer, KH Zulfa asked that every home received by the people become a dwelling that brings peace, security, and blessings.
“Make these subsidised homes places to live that bring tranquillity and security, and make their inhabitants feel sakinah (serene) within them,” said KH Zulfa on Thursday (30/7/2026).
KH Zulfa also prayed that the government’s efforts to provide decent housing for the people would be made easier and bring benefit to the nation. In addition, he prayed that President Prabowo Subianto and his administration be granted strength, health, and wisdom in carrying out their mandate to realise the people’s welfare.
The prayer recitation was one of a series of events for the Three Million Homes Programme, marked by the mass ceremony for 62,000 subsidised KPR units. The solemn atmosphere was briefly lightened by remarks from the Minister of Housing and Residential Areas, Maruarar Sirait.
In front of President Prabowo, Maruarar said the prayer led by KH Zulfa Mustofa was a way of accommodating the aspirations of the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency, Nusron Wahid. The joke was delivered in a relaxed manner, drawing smiles from the guests present without diminishing the solemnity of the event.
The mass ceremony in Batang formed part of the simultaneous disbursement of 62,000 subsidised KPR units through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme held across various regions. The event was also held concurrently with the disbursement of the People’s Business Credit (KUR) for Housing.
The programme is one of the government’s efforts to broaden access to home ownership for low-income communities through subsidised financing.
