President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated General TNI (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman as Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) on Monday, 27 April 2026. Dudung replaces Muhammad Qodari, who was appointed as Head of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom) of the Republic of Indonesia.

Following the inauguration at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Dudung promised that the KSP under his leadership would be open to serving the public. He views the KSP as a connector between citizens and the government. “Therefore, whatever the public’s complaints are, I will open 24-hour reporting from the public,” said Dudung.

He stated that this service is part of efforts to evaluate and monitor programmes of ministries and agencies. Dudung hopes that the KSP can collaborate with ministries up to regional governments in overseeing President Prabowo’s programmes.

“Thus, there should be no issues where presidential priorities face bureaucratic problems; we will streamline the bureaucracy,” said the former Army Chief of Staff.

Dudung requested assistance from the entire public and institutions to monitor programmes that are not yet optimal. “If there are any KSP programmes that are not running properly, we will conduct inspections and resolve them,” he said.

In addition, Dudung expressed thanks to Prabowo following his inauguration. “I thank the President of the Republic of Indonesia for appointing me as Head of the Presidential Staff Office,” he said.

Currently, Dudung stated that he still holds the position of Special Advisor to the President of the Republic of Indonesia for National Defence matters. He has held that position since the beginning of the Prabowo administration. “Still dual role for now; there will soon be a replacement,” he said.

Besides Dudung, Prabowo inaugurated five other officials on Monday. Through this inauguration, Prabowo appointed the General Chairman of the All-Indonesian Confederation of Trade Unions (KSPSI), Mohammad Jumhur Hidayat, as Minister of Environment and Forestry as well as Head of the Environment Control Agency. Jumhur replaces the previous official, Hanif Faisol Nurofiq.

After being removed from his position, Hanif received a new role as Deputy Minister Coordinator for Food Affairs. Hanif’s inauguration for the new position was carried out at the same opportunity at the Presidential Palace on Monday.

In addition, Prabowo inaugurated several officials outside of ministerial positions. Muhammad Qodari was appointed as Head of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom) of the Republic of Indonesia, replacing Angga Raka Prabowo. Qodari also left his old position as Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP). Qodari’s former position was filled by Dudung Abdurachman.

Prabowo also inaugurated Hasan Nasbi as Special Advisor to the President for Communication Affairs. Thus, Hasan officially returns to the inner circle of the Red and White Cabinet after previously leaving the Presidential Communication Office in April last year.

Finally, Prabowo also appointed former Minister of Protection for Indonesian Migrant Workers, Abdul Kadir Karding, as head of an agency. Karding, who was removed from his ministerial position in 2025, now serves as Head of the Indonesian Quarantine Agency.
