Jakarta (ANTARA) - Education Minister Abdul Mu’ti conveyed several messages from President Prabowo Subianto while leading the flag ceremony that opened the first day of learning after the Eid holidays at SMPN 2 Depok, West Java Province. One of the messages was Mu’ti inviting the students to implement the newly launched national Indonesia Aman, Sehat, Resik, dan Indah (ASRI) programme by the President. “I want to convey some messages from Mr President that serve as guidance for us all, for you to become the golden generation of Indonesia. Mr President has given directions on the importance of building an ASRI culture, namely creating a sense of safety, habituating a healthy lifestyle, creating a healthy social environment, and habituating clean and neat behaviour,” said Education Minister Mu’ti in Depok City, West Java Province on Monday. In addition, he invited the students to always live in harmony and avoid all forms of violent behaviour towards others, whether friends, teachers, or family members. Mu’ti reminded the students that one key to success is being able to collaborate and build an attitude of mutual respect among individuals. Besides that, Mu’ti also conveyed a message to the students to always consume beneficial and nutritious food and drinks for the body and avoid junk food consumption, especially dangerous substances like narcotics. Consuming such things, according to him, not only damages the body but also brain function, making it impossible for students to learn and create well. “Avoid things that can damage yourself as cadres of the nation, don’t let you be influenced by online gambling, drugs, and the like. Because once you are affected by drugs, not only is your body damaged, but your brain will also not be able to function properly. Also avoid junk food that has little benefit for our health,” Mu’ti emphasised. Therefore, he invited the students not only to memorise but also to apply the Seven Habits of Outstanding Indonesian Children (KAIH), namely waking up early, praying, exercising, eating healthy and nutritious food, enjoying learning, socialising, and going to bed early.
