Leadership Reshuffle, Green Economy Becomes Focus
The testing, inspection, certification, verification and assurance (TICVA) services company, PT Mutuagung Lestari Tbk (MUTU) or MUTU International, has strengthened its leadership ranks through an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB) held in Jakarta on Monday (24/8).
During the RUPSLB, shareholders approved changes to the company’s board composition, including the appointment of Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno as President Commissioner and Roestiandi Tsamanov as Deputy President Director.
Sandiaga’s entry into the board of commissioners is expected to strengthen the company’s strategic perspective, particularly in business development, investment, partnership networks, and long-term value creation for shareholders and stakeholders.
Meanwhile, Roestiandi Tsamanov’s experience in technology, digitalisation, entrepreneurship, and human resource development is expected to support business transformation, including the development of technology-based services and innovation.
President Commissioner Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said the company has significant opportunities to grow into one of the key players in Indonesia’s green economy ecosystem.
“The testing, inspection, certification, verification, and assurance industry will become increasingly important as businesses’ need for sustainability standards, transparency, and compliance grows,” he said in an official statement.
According to Sandiaga, the transformation towards a green economy is no longer merely an environmental agenda, but has become part of economic growth strategy and business competitiveness. This condition opens opportunities for companies capable of providing credible testing, certification, validation, verification, and assurance services.
President Director Arifin Lambaga said the leadership structure change is part of a strategy to accelerate growth and strengthen the company’s position as a TICVA service provider.
“We welcome the shareholders’ decision. Their experience in investment, business, technology, and business development will become a new strength for the company to accelerate,” said Arifin.
Carbon business development is one of the focuses for capturing growth opportunities in the low-carbon economy ecosystem. The company will also strengthen sustainability, environmental testing, certification, verification, and assurance services to support industry needs for national and international sustainability standards.
In addition to the green economy, the halal sector is also seen as a growth opportunity. Its development will be carried out, among others, through strengthening laboratory capacity and testing services that support the halal industry.
On the other hand, digital transformation will be accelerated through the use of technology, data, digital traceability, and innovation in testing, inspection, certification, and verification processes. These measures are aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, and service quality.
“We want to build a company that is not only operationally strong, but also excels in technology, innovation, and human resource quality. Digitalisation will be an important part of the company’s transformation journey,” said Arifin.
