Leader of Pesantren Azziyadah Prays for Kaesang to Become Future Leader

Jakarta, VIVA - Kaesang Pangarep, Chairman of the General Board (DPP) of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), visited Pesantren Azziyadah in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, on the afternoon of Friday, 27 February 2026.

This visit was part of a series of Ramadan outreach programmes by PSI to various Islamic boarding schools across Java. Kaesang’s arrival was welcomed by the pesantren’s leadership and students.

During the activity, Kaesang was accompanied by Ahmad Ali, Daily Chairman of the PSI DPP; Raja Juli Antoni, Secretary General of the PSI DPP; and several other party officials.

In his remarks, the pesantren’s leader, KH Muhajir Zayadi, conveyed prayers and hopes that Kaesang would become a leader in the future. “Kaesang is still young, he is confident, he is strong, so he will become a successful person. And he is also super young—a young leader today, a leader to come. God willing, he will become president,” said Muhajir on Friday, 27 February 2026.

The visit was described as part of efforts to strengthen ties between PSI and pesantren communities. In addition, the activity was intended as a form of respect for Islamic scholars, clerics, and religious figures.

On the same occasion, Ahmad Ali stated that politics is not only about strategy and power, but also about values and ethics. According to him, PSI wishes to promote political practices that uphold ethics and moral values in national life.

“By using religious values as a compass, PSI is committed to building ethical, respectful politics that serves the common good,” said Ali.
