Le Minerale Commits to BPA-Free Gallons for #BPAFreeGeneration
Healthy child development is a vital foundation for the nation’s future. Consequently, parents play a crucial role in ensuring nutritional needs, fluid intake, and healthy lifestyles are met, while simultaneously protecting children from exposure to harmful chemicals such as Bisphenol A (BPA).
Le Minerale has introduced the #GenerasiBebasBPA initiative as part of its commitment to supporting the healthy growth of the Indonesian generation, free from BPA. Through this initiative, Le Minerale aims to educate and encourage parents to be more meticulous in choosing daily products, including drinking water gallons, by ensuring packaging is 100 per cent BPA-free for safer consumption.
A tangible manifestation of this initiative was the ‘Smart Parents, Healthy Children: Real Steps Towards #BPAFreeGeneration’ talkshow, held at Taman Anggrek GBK, Jakarta, on Saturday, 25 July 2026.
During the talkshow, paediatrician Dr Ria Yoanita reminded attendees that what children consume directly affects their healthy development, including mineral water. “Parents must pay closer attention to what children consume for optimal growth. Sometimes parents focus only on food and neglect the safety of beverages. Beyond ensuring adequate fluid intake, parents must also choose mineral water that is healthy and safe,” she stated.
She emphasised that parents must consider packaging safety and choose BPA-free options. Dr Yoanita continued that packaging containing BPA can leach harmful chemicals that may cause various health disturbances upon long-term exposure.
Zaskia Sungkar, Le Minerale’s Brand Ambassador and a mother of three, shared her experience in selecting drinking water for her family, noting packaging safety as a primary consideration. “I agree that these habits must be formed; it cannot happen instantly. As smart mothers, we must verify whether the mineral water we provide to our children is truly healthy and safe,” said Zaskia.
Zaskia noted that she has relied on Le Minerale gallons from her first pregnancy to the present to meet her family’s hydration needs. “Le Minerale gallons are BPA-free, the packaging is always new, and it features double protection with a seal. By consuming Le Minerale, we are safe from harmful chemicals, dust, dirt, and bacteria. As a good mother, we do our best at home,” she added.
Head of Public Relations and Digital at Le Minerale, Yuna Eka Kristina, emphasised that the #GerakanBebanteBPA initiative is a corporate step towards protecting consumer health. “We believe every parent deserves peace of mind when providing the best products for their families, including the choice of daily drinking water,” she said.
She stated that Le Minerale aims to realise a healthy generation free from BPA, using 100 per cent BPA-free gallon packaging that is delivered directly from the factory to guarantee safety and hygiene. She expressed hope that this initiative would become part of a collective effort to maintain family health and support the development of Indonesian children.
