LBH chief appointed

YOGYAKARTA: The Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation has agreed on
a compromise candidate to head its representative office here.

Budi Santoso, who did not win a single vote at the last
election for the chairmanship of Yogyakarta's Legal Aid Institute
(LBH), was installed on Wednesday by Amartiwi Saleh representing
the foundation's executive board, Antara reported.

A dispute arose in the foundation's office in Yogyakarta after
the foundation chose Ari Susesta, the runner up, over Budi
Hartono, who had won most votes in a staff poll. (emb)
