Lazy employees go home: Regent
Lazy employees go home: Regent
GORONTALO: The regent of Boalemo, Iwan Bokings, said that lazy
civil servants in the district administration were better off at
home.
"Rather than gossiping and doing nothing in their offices,
they'd better go home and take care of their families" Iwan
Bokings said in Bealemo on Thursday.
According to him, a lethargic and unproductive atmosphere had
prevailed for ages because superiors had not paid enough
attention to their subordinates and not given them enough tasks
to keep them busy.
He added that many department heads in his administration were
regarded as incompetent as they were incapable of keeping their
subordinates busy.
"As a manager, one must be able to make schedules and programs
for staff to do and to hold them responsible for them," he noted.
Bokings said that he was deeply concerned with the situation.
He further added that his regency was in need of capable
personnel. The government were obliged to pay their wages but
staff had not been able to yield the desired results.
"We're paid by the public, therefore, we should do our best to
serve them" he added. --Antara
