Lazada Holds Ramadan Mega Sale, Anticipates Surge in Digital Shopping Ahead of Eid
Lazada Indonesia is welcoming the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026 season with a shopping programme titled Lazada 3.3 Ramadan Mega Sale, running from 2 March to 6 March 2026. Amelia Tediarjo, Head of Business Growth & Operations at Lazada Indonesia, stated that the Ramadan festival on the platform actually began on 16 February through a series of promotions and service enhancements.
“All programmes and features are designed as responses to evolving customer needs whilst demonstrating appreciation to customers who continue to support Lazada,” Amelia said during LazTalks on Friday, 27 February.
Beyond offering price reductions, Lazada has introduced several new features to enhance the shopping experience during Ramadan.
Amelia revealed that Ramadan 2026 is showing shifts in consumer behaviour. Beyond increased transaction volumes, consumers now tend to prioritise product value over price alone. According to her, shopping patterns also change throughout the Ramadan period. Early in the month, consumers purchase more staple goods. By mid-Ramadan, fashion and beauty categories gain momentum. As Eid approaches, electronics demand such as televisions and mobile phones increases.
“I can say that preparation for the fasting month through the end of Ramadan differs. However, certainly, kitchenware and beauty products will always be more sought after,” Amelia explained.
She added that the surge in electronics purchases has been anticipated, coinciding with salary and Eid allowance disbursement periods.
“So, we are already seeing increased sales in the electronics category,” she said.
To support this trend, Lazada is running promotional campaigns from 16 February through 24 March, with peak offerings during 2–6 March. Various programmes include discounts up to 95%, zero-interest instalments, vouchers worth up to Rp1.4 million, and special offers for iftar and suhur meals.
On the service side, Lazada has introduced innovations such as free installation services, membership programmes, and a rapid-resolution customer service system.
Beyond focusing on consumers, Lazada is also supporting business operators by offering free campaign fees and increased visibility for local brands in LazMall. The platform leverages artificial intelligence technology to help sellers optimise sales during Ramadan.
