Lawyer Kamaruddin Simanjuntak Dies

Lawyer Kamaruddin Simanjuntak died today. His death was confirmed by fellow advocate Martin Lukas Simanjuntak.

“Shalom, it is true that he passed away to the Father’s house in heaven at 3am this morning,” Martin said when contacted on Monday, 19 October 2026.

He said Kamaruddin died at Pelni Hospital in Central Jakarta. His body is to lie in state at the Ukrida funeral home.

Kamaruddin became familiar to the public after joining the legal team in the shooting case involving Ferdy Sambo, the former head of the Indonesian National Police’s Professional and Security Division. At the time, he represented the family of Yosua Hutabarat.
