Lawsuit Over MPR Quiz Competition Controversy Held Today at Central Jakarta District Court
The first hearing regarding the lawsuit concerning the controversy of the 2026 MPR RI Four Pillars Quiz Competition (LCC) for the West Kalimantan province level is being held at the Central Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (2/6/2026). The trial is registered under case number 335/Pdt.G/2026/PN Jkt.Pst, with David Tobing as the plaintiff, and Ahmad Muzani, Dyasita Widya Budi, Indri Wahyuni, and Shindy Luthfiana as defendants.
“The first hearing is today, Tuesday, 2 June 202_6. I request that the Defendants—the Chairman of the MPR, the judges, and the MC—act in good faith and respect the summons from the Central Jakarta Court,” stated David in a statement on Tuesday.
Furthermore, the lawsuit demands that Muzani, in his capacity as the Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) RI, dishonourably dismiss Dyasita and Indri from their respective positions as employees of the MPR RI. The plaintiff also seeks to prohibit Dyasita and Indri from serving as judges in official state activities at regional, central, or national levels.
Previously, the MPR RI cancelled the re-run of the 2026 Four Pillars Quiz final for the West Kalimantan province level following objections from SMAN 1 Pontianak and SMAN 1 Sambas. Abraham Liyanto, Chairman of the MPR RI Socialisation Body, stated that both schools agreed a re-run was unnecessary, and the cancellation was agreed upon by all factions within the MPR RI.
The controversy surrounding the 2026 Four Pillars Quiz arose during the final round involving three high schools in Pontianak: SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak, SMA Negeri 1 Sambas, and SMA Negeri 1 Sanggau. Participants had expressed objections regarding the judging panel’s assessment. The response from the judges—specifically Dyastasita Widya Budi, Head of the Research Bureau of the MPR RI Secretariat General, and Indri Wahyuni, Head of the Socialisation Body Secretariat—has drawn significant scrutiny from netizens.
