Pangkalpinang (ANTARA) - The Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, Supratman Andi Agtas, said President Prabowo Subianto emphasised that justice must be accessible, felt and enjoyed by all layers of society. ‘President Prabowo Subianto reiterates that all segments of society must have access to justice,’ Agtas told the ceremony inaugurating 393 Posbankum Desa dan Kelurahan across the Babel Islands in Pangkalpinang on Wednesday evening. He noted that in the Plenary Session of the DPR (House of Representatives) in Jakarta on Wednesday morning (20 May), the President again stressed that this justice must be felt and enjoyed by every layer of Indonesian society. ‘This justice should not be accessible only to those who are educated or financially powerful, but to all layers of society,’ he said. He described the establishment of the pos bantuan hukum (Posbankum) across villages and urban villages in Indonesia as part of realising the President’s Asta Cita mission to provide equal access to justice for all. ‘The creation of Posbankum is an effort by the Ministry of Law to ensure every segment of society has access to justice,’ he added. He also praised the Governor of the Babel Islands for its commitment to providing access to justice for all, saying it aligns with and resonates with the President’s priority programmes. ‘Marginalised communities and villages that were previously objects have become subjects, including access to justice in the fabric of society in this region,’ he stated.
