Law Minister opens opportunity for National Paskibraka members to join Ministry of Law
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Law Minister Supratman Andi Agtas has opened an opportunity for members of the 2026 National Paskibraka (Pasukan Pengibar Bendera Pusaka) flag-raising squad to continue their service through civil service education within the Ministry of Law.
He stressed that the Ministry of Law needs a young generation that is not only academically excellent but also possesses strong character.
“I invite the Paskibraka members to take part in the selection for civil service student admissions at the Polytechnic of the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Supratman when confirmed in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He said the Ministry of Law needs various talents who have integrity, national insight and a patriotic attitude.
“That is the most important thing, beyond intellectual ability and so forth,” he said.
According to him, integrity, national insight and patriotism are important foundations in building an apparatus and human resources capable of carrying out duties professionally and oriented towards the public interest.
The Law Minister expressed his appreciation and pride to all National Paskibraka members through a dinner event in Jakarta on Wednesday (19/8).
On that occasion, he admitted to having witnessed firsthand the flag-raising and lowering procession at the Palace and felt pride in the success of the Paskibraka members in carrying out their duties.
“Honestly, I was present at the Palace witnessing the raising and lowering of our flag. I was moved by the success of all of you,” said the Law Minister.
According to Supratman, success as a Paskibraka member is not only about marching ability.
More than that, he continued, the Paskibraka development process shapes character, discipline, responsibility, national spirit and a spirit of service to the country.
With a background as a former Paskibra member, Abdul assessed that the experience of being part of Paskibraka is an important provision in building leadership character.
According to him, Paskibraka teaches how to work in a team while understanding responsibility as a leader.
“In Paskibraka, you are trained to form a team and trained to become a leader. You learn to be a soldier, learn to be a commander, and must be orderly. Those values are important, I think,” said Abdul.
The values of discipline, cooperation, leadership and compliance with rules are considered important capital for the young generation to face future challenges.
A total of 76 members of the 2026 National Paskibraka received special appreciation from the Law Minister to attend a dinner together at Graha Pengayoman of the Ministry of Law, which was also part of a series of activities to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of Pengayoman Day.
More than just a ceremony, the meeting became a space to instil leadership values while opening new opportunities for the young generation to continue their service to the nation and state.
Through this activity, the Ministry of Law demonstrated its commitment to encouraging the birth of a young generation that is full of integrity, disciplined, has a leadership spirit, national insight and is ready to serve Indonesia.
The evening together was not merely a gathering event. The activity was a form of appreciation for the dedication and success of the National Paskibraka members in carrying out the task of raising and lowering the Red and White flag at the commemoration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
