Law Minister delegates law enforcement regarding former National Nutrition Agency leaders to Attorney General's Office

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas has handed over the law enforcement process regarding the former leadership of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to the law enforcement authorities, specifically the Attorney General’s Office.

“We are currently still in the process of presumption of innocence; we leave it to the established mechanisms, yes, we leave it to the law enforcement authorities,” Supratman stated when met during his activities at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday.

In principle, Supratman added, Indonesia is a state governed by law. President Prabowo Subianto has also essentially warned his officials against committing any unlawful acts.

“We leave it entirely to the law enforcement authorities. This means the President will always remind us of matters related to such issues. That is all,” he said.

Previously, the former Head of the BGN, Dadan Hindayana, was seen wearing a pink vest after the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) raided the agency’s office. Dadan was seen exiting the Building of the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General’s Office in Jakarta on Wednesday at 5:11 PM WIB. He was wearing the pink vest, characteristic of Attorney General’s Office detainees, paired with a black t-shirt as he was escorted by officers.

In addition to Dadan Hindayana, the former Deputy Heads of the BGN, Lodewyk Pusung and Sony Sonjaya, were also seen wearing pink vests. All three individuals were removed from their positions at the BGN by President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday night (2/6). On Wednesday morning, investigators from the Jampidsus of the Attorney General’s Office conducted a search of the BGN office located in Central Jakarta.
