BEIJING, KOMPAS.com – Jetour is demonstrating its seriousness in the Indonesian market by preparing local production for its latest plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model, the Jetour T2 i-DM. This step is a key part of its electrification strategy while enhancing competitiveness in the SUV segment. Moch Ranggy Radiansyah, Marketing Director of PT Jetour Sales Indonesia, stated that the T2 PHEV is ready to launch this year. He also confirmed that the model will be assembled in Indonesia. This domestic production not only aims to lower costs but also to address the high and continuously increasing market demand since Jetour’s entry into Indonesia. “(Production) is still for the current demand; we are still chasing it because the demand is indeed quite high,” said Ranggy. “So we are pushing for faster production. But for the readiness of the new model, there will be adjustments on our production line side,” he added. This means that, in addition to pursuing production of existing models, Jetour is also preparing adjustments to its production line to welcome the new model, including the T2 i-DM. For information, the Jetour T2 i-DM will be Jetour’s first PHEV model in Indonesia and has the potential to become a flagship. Regarding pricing, Jetour has previously provided an initial overview. “Our commitment once again is to bring vehicles with competitive total value, including from the pricing side. So wait for the information at the launch,” he said.
