Launching 27th Milad Logo, UNISA Bandung Reinforces Commitment to Delivering Change
Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Bandung launched its 27th Milad logo, carrying the theme ’Building Justice, Delivering Change’, on Tuesday (23/6/2026). The event was attended by the Chairperson of the West Java Regional Leadership of ‘Aisyiyah (PWA) and her staff, the Rector of UNISA Bandung, the Daily Advisory Board (BPH), and the entire academic community of UNISA Bandung. The launch of the 27th Milad logo served as a momentum for UNISA Bandung to reflect on the institution’s long journey while reinforcing its commitment to providing higher education that has an impact on society. Entering its 27th year, UNISA Bandung continues to affirm its role as an adaptive, excellent, and progressive university. Rector of UNISA Bandung, Sitti Syabariyah, stated that this year’s Milad logo launch was not merely a ceremony, but a starting point to strengthen UNISA Bandung’s existence and contribution within society. According to her, UNISA Bandung’s journey to date has been a long process of transformation, starting from a Nursing Academy before developing into a university in 2020. This transformation is an important asset for UNISA Bandung to continue growing and providing wider benefits. ’Today is a momentum to strengthen the presence of UNISA Bandung. The journey that has been undertaken, from an academy to a university, must be a foundation to continue stepping forward and contributing not only for internal interests but also for the wider community,’ said Sitti. Sitti hopes the 27th Milad commemoration will have a real impact on the academic community and society. She also advised the entire UNISA Bandung family not to be complacent with the achievements that have been attained, but to continue thinking far ahead in preparing for the institution’s future. ‘Do not take pride in the current conditions. We must be able to look far ahead and think about the legitimacy and legacy we will leave for the university and future generations, so that UNISA Bandung can continue to survive, develop, and achieve at a global level,’ she said. Chairperson of PWA West Java, Ia Kurniati, said that the Milad is essentially a relay of struggle that must be maintained and continued by the entire academic community. She emphasised that every journey and achievement attained by UNISA Bandung today is the result of a long struggle. Therefore, this spirit of struggle needs to be continuously instilled as a foundation in realising a more advanced and competitive UNISA Bandung. ‘The Milad is essentially a relay of struggle. This is the spirit that must continue to be instilled, how we continue the struggle to realise the great name of UNISA Bandung in the future,’ she stated. Through the theme ‘Building Justice, Delivering Change’, the 27th Milad of UNISA Bandung is expected not only to be a moment of reflection on the institution’s journey, but also a momentum to strengthen the commitment to delivering just, innovative, and impactful change for society, the nation, and the advancement of higher education in Indonesia.
