A series of events will liven up the celebrations with various agendas, ranging from entertainment and sports to Betawi cultural performances. The public is invited to join in marking Jakarta’s anniversary while enjoying the refreshed atmosphere of the Rasuna Said area.

During this occasion, two key highlights are the revitalisation of the HR Rasuna Said Corridor and the Waste Sorting at Source Movement. Both form part of Jakarta’s ongoing improvements in urban planning and environmental care.

New Face of the HR Rasuna Said Corridor

The HR Rasuna Said area now appears more spacious and orderly. Since April 2026, the concrete pillars from the former monorail project, which previously stood along the road median, have officially been removed.

The demolition, which began in January 2026, has been completed. The road median area has been repurposed as an additional traffic lane, making the Kuningan district feel more open and comfortable to traverse.

This change provides a visually broader impression of one of Jakarta’s important corridors. The revitalisation also symbolises urban planning that pursues not only functionality but also public space comfort for the community.

Encouraging Residents to Sort Waste at Source

In addition to area improvements, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is promoting an important message on environmental cleanliness through the Waste Sorting at Source Movement.

This movement encourages residents to begin sorting waste from the household level. Organic waste, inorganic waste, hazardous waste, and residual waste are separated to make waste management more effective from the source.

This initiative involves active participation from residents, PKK groups, and neighbourhood association leaders. One promoted step is providing separate waste bins to make the habit of sorting waste easier in respective communities.

Through this movement, the public is reminded that keeping Jakarta clean can start with simple actions. From disposing of waste in the proper place and sorting it by type, to building more environmentally conscious living habits.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also urges the public to follow the latest information via the official accounts of the Provincial Government and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Tourism and Creative Economy Office.
