Latest Update on MBG Corruption Probe: AGO Summons 16 Witnesses

The Attorney General’s Office, through its team of investigators at the Directorate of Investigation under the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, has summoned 16 witnesses. The summons relates to an alleged corruption case in the governance of the Free Nutritious Meal programme at the National Nutrition Agency for the 2025 to 2026 period.

According to a press release from the Attorney General’s Office Legal Information Centre on Monday, the 16 witnesses include IDMAKN, an expert staff member at the National Nutrition Agency; MK, a partner of the Pejaten Barat SPPG; GW, a finance staff member at PT NGS; and the directors of several companies, namely PT MDT, PT AJS, PT WMB, PT ACG, PT BCS, PT BMA, PT EC, PT SSA, and PT MHT. Also summoned were representatives from the PRL Foundation, the chairman of the HJC and HJM Foundation, and an individual identified as MNH.

Kapuspenkum Kejagung Anang Supriatna stated that the witness examinations are being conducted to strengthen the evidence and complete the case files. He emphasised that the investigation will continue to be carried out professionally, independently, and accountably, while upholding the presumption of innocence and the principle of prudence.

The Attorney General’s Office has previously named seven suspects in the case. They are Dadan Hindayana, the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency; Sony Sonjaya, the former Deputy Head for Operational Fulfilment of Nutrition; Lodewyk Pusung, the former Deputy Head for Organisational Development and Institutional Relations; Brigadier General Lalu Muhammad Iwan Mahardan, Secretary of the Deputy for Promotion and Cooperation at BGN; Asep Yusuf Soemantri, a confidant of the agency’s leadership; Andri Mulyono, a commissioner of PT Yasa Arta Trimanunggal, a vendor supplying electric motors; and Glory Harimas Sihombing, the Chairperson of the Indonesia Food Security Review Foundation.
