The process of evacuating the train wreckage following the accident between the KRL and the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek at Bekasi Timur Station on Monday (27/4/2026) is underway. The latest conditions at the site show that the damaged train cars are still blocking the railway tracks, hindering KRL operations. Based on observations from Kompas TV footage, one carriage is seen tilted and off the rails. The body of the carriage appears dented, with several components on the roof, including electrical devices, detached and scattered. On the left side, a yellow heavy machine is visible at the location, presumed to be used for lifting and moving the train cars. Several officers are standing on the nearby platform, overseeing and participating in the evacuation process. The area around the tracks is also filled with debris and scattered materials from the hard impact. On the right side, a soil embankment with vegetation is visible close to the railway tracks, illustrating the narrow space at the incident site, which further complicates the evacuation. However, the train wreckage remains on the track where the accident occurred on Monday night. “Currently, the stage is recovery, where the position of this train wreckage is still blocking the track where the accident happened,” said Zifanya in her report. She added that the evacuation process requires time and is targeted to be completed in the afternoon, around 17:00 WIB to 18:00 WIB. Thus, the KRL line is expected to return to normal operations the following day. Meanwhile, current KRL operations are still limited. Services are only provided up to Bekasi Station, both from the Cikarang direction to Jakarta and vice versa.
