Police had previously elevated the status of the case involving the vandalism of a resident’s house terrorised by a neighbour in Pancoran Mas, Depok City, West Java, to the investigation stage. The perpetrator with the initials FAA was named a suspect.
“We have named one suspect with the initials FAA and we have carried out all legal processes,” said AKBP Made Gede Oka Utama to journalists at Depok Metro Police Headquarters on Thursday (13/8/2026).
AKBP Made said seven witnesses had been examined. In addition, a number of pieces of evidence, including fragments of a fence, had been seized and processed legally.
“We have examined seven witnesses. Then, evidence in the form of fence fragments has been seized and everything is being processed in accordance with applicable regulations,” he explained.
Police revealed the results of the examination of the alleged perpetrator of the house vandalism in Pancoran Mas, Depok City, West Java. The two parties had frequently been in dispute or quarrelling since 2024.
“As I conveyed some time ago, this problem has been going on since 2024. They have been in dispute since that year. The reported party also has his own version, that there was also a slight disagreement and quarrels,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Depok Metro Police AKBP Made Gede Oka on Monday (20/7).
AKBP Made said the victim and the reported party had frequently clashed since 2024. The dispute had also been mediated by several parties, but continued until the vandalism of the victim’s house fence.
“And in 2024 there was also a dispute between the reported party and the complainant. However, no police report was made because it was reconciled at that time by residents, the neighbourhood and community unit heads, and also the community police officer. The quarrel has continued until now,” he explained.
Since then, Made continued, both parties had continued to be in dispute. Because the victim could no longer tolerate the alleged perpetrator’s behaviour, the victim finally filed a police report.
“So, according to the reported party’s version, based on the examination results I read earlier, it is not really about holding a grudge, but rather that since then they have continued to be in dispute and frequently quarrelled,” he said.
“Finally, the incident last week occurred. The victim felt he could no longer tolerate it and had been mediated repeatedly. He finally filed a report regarding the vandalism,” he added.
