Latest Toll Tariffs and 30% Discount Schedule for Eid Homecoming 2026
Eid 2026 homecoming travel (mudik) for Hari Raya Idulfitri 1447H is drawing closer. The government through the Ministry of Public Works (PU) and the Toll Road Regulatory Body (BPJT) has released details of the latest toll tariffs and discount schemes to facilitate smooth public mobility.
A 30% discount will be applied to help ease traffic congestion. This reduced tariff applies specifically to toll road users making long-distance journeys and using electronic, non-cash payment methods.
Several toll sections will be operated toll-free during the 2026 Eid homecoming period to support smooth travel.
BPJT recommends homecoming travellers to prepare electronic account balances at least 10-20% higher than estimated tariffs to anticipate system errors or unexpected route changes. For the Jakarta-Surabaya route, travellers are strongly advised to maintain a minimum balance of Rp1,000,000 to ensure hassle-free travel.
Generally the discount applies to all vehicle categories, but the primary focus of this incentive is on Class I vehicles (private cars).
The peak homecoming traffic is predicted to occur on 18-19 March 2026, immediately after the toll discount period ends.
The toll tariff increase follows regulatory requirements that consider inflation rates and improvements to toll road minimum service standards.
PT Hutama Karya will shortly implement tariffs on two sections of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS): the Binjai-Langsa Section 3 and Palembang Junction Ramp 2 and Ramp 3.
