Latest Schedule for 2026 Senior High School Academic Competency Test, Check the Adjustments!
The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has released the latest schedule for the 2026 Senior High School Academic Competency Test (TKA). Previously, registration was set to open in August 2026. Now, registration for the 2026 TKA will begin at the end of July 2026.
Citing an upload from the official Instagram account of the Basic and Secondary Education Policy Agency (BKPDM, formerly Balitbang) of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, the following is the latest schedule for the TKA:
Registration: 27 July - 27 September
Simulation: 21 - 27 September
Full Rehearsal: 5 - 18 October
Main Implementation: 26 October - 8 November
Follow-up Implementation: 16 - 29 November
Results Announcement: 23 December
Objectives of the TKA
The TKA is not mandatory. There are no consequences if a student does not take the TKA, and students can still graduate from their educational unit without participating.
However, the TKA results, as a standardised test showing academic achievement, can be used as one of the requirements or considerations for selection into the next level of education or for prospective university student admissions. TKA results can also be used as a requirement for various other academic selection purposes. Therefore, careful consideration is needed before a student decides not to take the TKA.

Tips for Preparing for the TKA
Start practising questions by taking TKA trial tests.
Maintain your health and get enough rest.
Bring your TKA participant card on the day of the exam.
Arrive on time.
Check your exam schedule and session.
Take all the specified test subjects.
Will TKA Scores Be Listed on the Diploma?
TKA results are not listed on the diploma, but rather on a Certificate of Academic Competency Test Results (SKTKA) officially issued by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. This certificate contains the student’s score and achievement category in detail.
