JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Non-subsidised fuel oil (BBM) prices have undergone another adjustment on Saturday (18 April 2026), featuring a sharp increase for several diesel and high-octane petrol products.

Based on data from the official MyPertamina website, the most significant rise occurred in the prices of Dexlite and Pertamina Dex BBM, each increasing by Rp 9,400 per litre compared to early April 2026.

For the DKI Jakarta region and surroundings, Dexlite is now priced at Rp 23,600 per litre, up from Rp 14,200 per litre previously. Meanwhile, Pertamina Dex has risen to Rp 23,900 per litre from Rp 14,500 per litre.

Amid this fuel price surge, Pertamina has held the price of Pertamax (RON 92) steady at Rp 12,300 per litre, and Pertamax Green 95 remains at Rp 12,900 per litre.

Additionally, subsidised BBM prices are unchanged. Pertalite stays at Rp 10,000 per litre, and Biosolar holds at Rp 6,800 per litre.

This price adjustment follows Pertamina’s decision to maintain prices on 1 April 2026, despite a global energy price spike triggered by conflicts in the Middle East at that time.

The regulation outlines the basic price formula for calculating the retail selling price of petrol and diesel BBM distributed through public fuelling stations (SPBU).

It should be noted that BBM prices may vary by region due to factors such as motor vehicle fuel tax (PBBKB) and logistics costs.

The following is the list of Pertamina BBM prices as of 18 April 2026 in the DKI Jakarta region and surroundings:

This price increase occurs amid fluctuations in global oil prices over the past month, driven by geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East and disruptions to energy distribution in the Strait of Hormuz.

Fluctuations in global oil prices over the past month have been one of the factors influencing domestic BBM price adjustment policies.

On Thursday (16 April 2026), global oil prices surged sharply. Brent crude rose by 4.46 US dollars, or 4.7 per cent, to 99.39 US dollars per barrel.
