Work From Anywhere (WFA) for civil servants (ASN), which is planned to be carried out routinely one day per week, has no certainty yet on when it will be implemented.

Spokesperson for the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Haryo Limanseto, revealed that the ministry is currently in the stage of further discussions regarding the proposal.

“For now, there is nothing that can be conveyed because it is still in the final discussion stage,” he said to CNBC Indonesia on Thursday (26/3/2026).

The WFA policy proposal is circulating amid the war in the Middle East, which is also impacting oil distribution routes due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Other impacts include a sharp surge in global oil prices, even exceeding US$100 per barrel.

This has made the world concerned about potential increases in fuel prices and energy shortages.

Haryo also stated that the ministry is currently following up on President Prabowo Subianto’s directives regarding anticipatory measures against the impacts of the turmoil in the Middle East.

“All follow-ups to the President’s directives regarding anticipatory measures against the Middle East turmoil are being discussed intensively among ministries and agencies,” he concluded.
