Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Banking customers need to pay attention to the provisions regarding minimum account balances at several banks. This is because the minimum balance is the amount of money that must remain in the account and cannot be withdrawn in order for the account to remain active.
In practice, these funds can be used to cover administration fees as stipulated by each bank. The minimum balance also varies, depending on customer segmentation and the type of savings product used.
Here are the details of the minimum balances at three major national banks as of May 2026:

In general, savings products for students and financial inclusion programs such as SimPel and TabunganKu have lower minimum balance requirements. Meanwhile, products for the business segment set higher balance limits in line with more complex transaction and service needs.
