The Whip Pink case handled by the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) has entered a new phase, with two individuals now named as suspects. Police raided the Whip Pink nitrous oxide (N2O) production house in Jakarta on 13 April 2026, seizing hundreds of ready-to-distribute Whip Pink canisters. The Sub-Directorate III of the Narcotics Crime Directorate at Bareskrim conducted raids at two locations: a shop house in Gang Mantri, Kemayoran, and a warehouse on Jalan Rajawali Selatan Raya, Gunung Sahari Utara, Pademangan District, North Jakarta. Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim, stated that the action was taken following the rampant misuse of the Whip Pink brand N2O. He mentioned that the team conducted an undercover buy to identify the product’s collection point. During the raid, police found a 56-year-old man with the initials SU, who was the stock keeper and delivery person. Based on SU’s interrogation, the team moved to the second location and detained four male employees involved in production, identified as ST, Sul, Sup, and AS. Officers also seized evidence including machines for filling small Whip Pink brand canisters from large 27 kg, 30 kg, and 32 kg N2O cylinders. A woman, identified as E, was also detained at a rented house in Pulogadung, East Jakarta, who served as the sales admin and accountant for Whip Pink products. Brigadier General Eko stated that the illegal Whip Pink production, under the auspices of PT SSS, had an extensive distribution network with 16 warehouses spread across Jakarta, Bandung, Makassar, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Balikpapan, Surabaya, Medan, Bali, and Lombok, generating a turnover of up to IDR 7.1 billion. Bareskrim noted the business lacked a distribution permit from the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM). Police continued their investigation across various PT SSS warehouses. Bareskrim also revealed testimony from a worker with the initials AS, who was ordered to change strategy following the death of social media influencer Lula Lahfah. Among other things, AS was asked to attach a warning label. Most recently, Bareskrim named Andy Hioe and Jasen Hioe, the bosses of the Whip Pink factory in Central Jakarta, as suspects. They are alleged to have produced and distributed medical supplies or pharmaceutical preparations that do not meet standards. Andy and Jasen are charged under Article 435 of Law Number 17 of 2023 on Health, which concerns anyone who produces or distributes pharmaceutical preparations and/or medical devices that do not meet safety, efficacy, benefit, and quality standards. Senior Commissioner Zulkarnain, Head of Sub-Directorate III, confirmed that Andy Hioe and Jasen Hioe are the father-and-son owners of the raided Whip Pink factory in Kemayoran.
