Technology opens new possibilities for Indonesia, from energy and food to infrastructure. The challenge lies in connecting technology with real needs and developing it into impactful solutions.

The Danantara Technology Innovation Investment Forum 2026 (DTIIF 2026) will serve as a platform to bring together technology, industry, and investment through technology exhibitions, strategic project presentations, business meetings, and leadership collaboration forums. The event is scheduled for 26–28 October 2026 at the Fairmont Jakarta, under the theme ‘Investing for the Future: Driving Technological Advancement, Innovation, and Sustainable Growth’.

As part of the road to DTIIF 2026, strategic stakeholders are gathering to advance Indonesia’s AI ambitions through concrete steps: mapping AI and data centre needs within the State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) ecosystem as a national anchor demand, assessing data centre infrastructure and energy supply readiness, and exploring strategic investment schemes. These discussions are a vital first step in strengthening Indonesia’s Sovereign AI foundation.

As a strategic investment institution, Danantara Indonesia aims to drive long-term value creation through strategic investment, cross-sector collaboration, and sustainable transformation. Between 14–18 September 2026, Danantara executed various strategic agendas, ranging from developing sustainable funding for the sports ecosystem and strengthening waste and primary energy management, to the business transformation of SOEs in the healthcare, digital, and retail sectors.

Connectivity remains a fundamental pillar for maintaining public mobility and linking Indonesia’s various regions. Alongside SOEs, Danantara continues to strengthen the transport ecosystem through land, air, and sea connectivity. Through KAI, InJourney Airports, and ASDP, transport services are being developed to provide more integrated and accessible mobility.

In a limited meeting led by President Prabowo in Hambalang—attended by Danantara, Bank Indonesia, OJK, the House of Representatives (DPR RI), and the State-Owned Enterprise Agency (BP BUMN)—discussions focused on national economic developments and strategic steps to strengthen the economic foundation. Strengthening financial access, optimising the role of SOEs, and accelerating investment must move in unison to maintain growth momentum.

In a series of meetings with CITIC Group in Jakarta, strategic opportunities in three sectors were discussed: Capital, alongside China Securities, to open cooperation in capital markets and financing; Resources, alongside CITIC Resources, MIND ID, and INALUM, to strengthen collaboration in Indonesia’s strategic minerals sector; and Infrastructure, alongside CITIC Construction and BOPPJ, to discuss development opportunities including the Giant Sea Wall Pantura.

The growth of AI and the digital economy will continue to increase the demand for national data centre capacity. During the Danantara Weekly BoD-MD Meeting, the strengthening of the data centre ecosystem was discussed as part of Danantara’s 2026 strategic investment plan. Danantara is prepared to play a role in building this infrastructure, including meeting the technological and supporting component needs for the data centre industry.

The Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK RI) has officially commenced the audit of the 2025 Consolidated Financial Statements of BPI Danantara. The audit covers BPI Danantara, PT Danante Asset Management (PT DAM), PT Danantara Investment Management (PT DIM), and the SOEs within the BPI Danantara structure. Danantara fully supports this process to ensure professionalism, transparency, and compliance with applicable regulations.

Furthermore, a meeting was held with the Tony Blair Institute (TBI) to continue collaboration in building Indonesia’s digital and AI ecosystem while attracting high-quality investment. Discussions with Sir Tony Blair also covered geopolitical dynamics, technology supply chain changes, AI developments, and the increasing need for renewable energy driven by the growth of the digital economy.
